The five models of the FC Series cover the full spectrum of mobile alcohol testing. The FC5 passive alcohol screener rapidly and reliably detects the presence of alcohol in test subjects, ambient air and open drink containers without the need for mouthpieces or special attachments.
For direct breath alcohol content measurement with evidential accuracy Lifeloc offers the FC10™, FC10Plus™, FC20™ and FC20BT™, approved by DOT/NHSTA and included on the US DOT Conforming Products List of Evidential Breath Testers. The economical FC5 Hornet from Lifeloc Technologies is a new generation of passive alcohol sensor for use in environments such as schools, high visibility traffic enforcement, probation, jails, mining and related safety sensitive industries. Screening for the presence of alcohol has never been easier. The FC5 is totally noninvasive and does not require the co-operation of the subject. No mouthpieces or special attachments are required. The FC5 can be used to detect alcohol vapor in subjects, open containers and even the ambient environment. It is simple to learn, operate and read as it displays large and easy to interpret icons.
Designed to replace older technology and more expensive alcohol wands and flashlights, sometimes called alcohol sniffers, the FC5 Hornet is quiet and easy to use with new features never before available in passive alcohol screeners. The FC5 is alcohol specific and uses the same platinum fuel cell sensor technology used in all Lifeloc law enforcement breathalyzers. Because the alcohol sensor is up to 4 times larger than those used in the traditional alcohol wands users benefit from larger breath sample size, rapid response and reset times, and long working life. In contrast to alcohol sensors built into other devices, the FC5 Hornet does not try to be anything else but what it is… a highly effective alcohol screening tool.
The FC10 Portable Breath Alcohol Tester is the true workhorse of breathalyzers. Widely used by Law Enforcement and Corrections the FC10 combines high precision, ease of use and ruggedness with affordability. The Lifeloc FC10 includes direct BAC testing and passive alcohol screening in one instrument. Passive testing does not require a mouthpiece and is perfect for rapid “zero tolerance” alcohol screening of subjects and “sniffing” of open containers. Known for its long life and fast recovery times, the FC10 is likely the only breath alcohol tester you will ever need.
For ease of use and operator safety the FC10 provides audible and graphical breath flow and alcohol content indicators to signal important test situations such as insufficient breath, reverse breath flow, possible uncooperative subjects and a pre-indication of low, medium or high BAC subject levels. Actual BAC results are displayed on the large easy to read display.
Unlike other devices on the market, the FC Series utilize a full 64 character backlit display with text prompts (rather than hard to remember status codes). For long life and test reliability, Lifeloc uses a 1 inch (2.54 mm) platinum fuel cell which is up to four times larger than competitive electrochemical cells. In passive testing, a unique double-pump breath sampling system ensures rapid testing of multiple subjects. Advanced security and lock-out features eliminate unauthorized operation.
The FC10Plus Portable Breath Alcohol Tester offers everything found in the Lifeloc FC10 breathalyzer plus password protection, 100 test memory and advanced lockout features to keep your results and settings safe. The Lifeloc FC10Plus breath alcohol testing device also includes real time date and time stamping.
The 1″ electrochemical fuel cell in the FC Series™ is alcohol specific, assures fast response and recovery time and unsurpassed working life.
Three test modes provide the operator with maximum control and testing options in any situation. During subject testing the visual breath flow graph gives real-time notice of possible test manipulation, shy lung or uncooperative subjects. The BAC graph provides the operator with an early indication of subject intoxication level before the actual BAC is displayed.
Lifeloc cares about operator safety and well-being. Our patented EasyTab™ mouthpiece is self-aligning under any lighting condition. Exhaled breath is directed away from the operator and you never have to touch the “wet” end of a used mouthpiece to discard or replace a mouthpiece.
